NuView System™ for Non-Gyn Cytology
The NuView System is the only system designed specifically for simple and reliable monolayer processing of non-gyn cytology using only a common laboratory centrifuge.
The NuView System™ contains three key products: 1) NuCyte™ Cytology Fixative or NuFix™ Complete Collection Solution (sample dependent); 2) NuPrep™ Enhancement Solution; 3) NuMatrix™ Thin-Layer Cell Solution.
There are two proprietary fixatives available depending on your specimen type.
NuCyte™ Cytology Fixative preserves biologically challenging non-gyn specimens especially for urine or bladder wash samples. This patented fixative is superior in removing crystals from urine specimens while providing a neutral pH and isotonic solution.
NuFix™ Complete Collection Solution lyses red blood cells while preventing hemoglobin from coagulating, making it an ideal choice for bloody specimens including all types of fine needle aspirates.
NuPrep™ Enhancement Solution reduces red blood cells, mucous and background. Its unique properties enhance cellular detail during the staining process. We recommend it for selective cellular enhancement of cells and improved cell staining.
NuMatrix™ Thin-Layer Cell Solution is a unique polymeric gel-like substance that evenly suspends cells, microbiopsies and other diagnostic elements in a homogeneous mix and embeds them in a nearly invisible ultra-thin membrane. This membrane adheres to the glass slide. NuMatrix allows for the presentation of cells in a non-overlapping, 3-D monolayer providing a rich diagnostic environment.
These three products combined yield selective cellular enhancement of the sample without the need to use proprietary equipment or expensive consumables (see images).
The NuView System for Non-Gyn Cytology allows for the processing of (100) non-gyn specimens. Each kit contains the following products for easy sample collection and preparation:
- 100 vials of NuCyte Cytology Fixative or NuFix™ Complete Collection Solution (sample dependent)
- 120 mL of NuPrep Enhancement Solution
- 50 mL of NuMatrix Thin-Layer Cell Solution
- 144 Glass Slides
